PRAY: Frantic search for 20 girls missing after flood hits Texas Bible camp
A desperate search and rescue effort is underway in the Texas Hill Country, where 20 girls remain missing after flash flooding swept through Camp Mystic, a private Christian Bible camp along the Guadalupe River.
At least 24 people have now been confirmed dead in Kerr County. Authorities fear the missing girls may have been swept away or are stranded and unable to reach help.
Adult and Teen Challenge approved to take over Steinbach building
Adult and Teen Challenge has received the green light from Steinbach City Council to relocate its thrift store and offices into the city’s industrial park on the west side — a decision council supported unanimously.
The organization applied for a conditional use permit to operate at 16 Pioneer Road, within the M1 Light Industrial Zone. That zoning does not normally allow retail operations, but council made an exception based on the nature of the project and the existing structure on the site.

"My parents were both missionaries in Bolivia, and then they were sent to Canada as missionaries," DaSilva said. "I was born in Brazil and close to the Amazon, and dad was a part of a very large church in Brazil and they sent us as missionaries to Portuguese-speaking people in Edmonton."

A dream years in the making came roaring to life in southern Manitoba as Activate Motocross Ministry hosted its first ride day over the weekend.
Founder Kevin Nolt says around 30 to 35 riders came out to the track near Homewood on Saturday, ranging from kids on mini bikes to adults on larger machines.
“It turned out really good,” Nolt shared in an interview with CHVN. “I’m just happy to see that people enjoyed it and that they’re looking forward to doing more.”
