Red Deer’s Westerner Days is kicking off tomorrow (July 17), with the community-favourite parade, midway, live music, Pony Chuckwagon Championships, and fireworks.
Here’s everything happening for Westerner Days:
Westerner Days Parade
On July 17 at 9:30 a.m., the community-favourite Westerner Days parade will roll through downtown Red Deer.
Midway
The midway features games, rides, monster truck rides, and Global FMX.
Kidventure
Kidventure features entertainment, Junior’s Firefighter Challange, and the Hula Hoop Circus.
Feature attractions in the Kidventure include an inflatable obstacle course, corn maze, crafts, and dunk tank.
Race Track
The North American Pony Chuckwagon Championships begin at 5 p.m.
Agventure
Farmyard displays and activities, livestock displays, kids' tractor pull blacksmithing demonstrations and more can be found in the Pavilion.
The Market
A variety of vendors and the extreme dog show will be at the Market.
Live music and entertainment will be throughout the District and the Junction.
A firework show will close out every night around 10:45 p.m.
For the five-day celebration, Westerner Park will be open from noon until midnight every day.
