The Hamlet of Granum will be doing some sidewalk and road construction for the next few weeks.

Starting this week, there will be crews doing sidewalk removal and replacement, as well as asphalt paving, and they are expecting the work to take roughly three weeks to complete.

The work is happening to replace end-of-life infrastructure, so they are asking those who are affected by the work to be patient while the work is being completed, and because this work can be an inconvenience, they will be doing their best to finish the work as promptly as possible.

The asphalt work will be on Railway Avenue from Lansdowne Street to Grey Street, while the sidewalk work will happen on the north sidewalk on Grey Street between 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave, the east sidewalk on 2nd Ave between Minto Street and Aberdeen Street, as well as minor work throughout the Hamlet.

While the work is happening, expect construction noise, traffic disruptions, parking restrictions, and sidewalk closures.

To stay up to date on construction in the M.D. of Willow Creek, keep an eye on their Facebook page or their website.
