A young entrepreneur is making a name for himself in Estevan. Bentley Wilson has set up Bentley’s Iced Tea stand at Westview School.

Now in his second year of running his iced tea stand, 12-year-old Wilson offers cold drinks, chips, and chocolate bars to keep Estevan refreshed on hot days. The cost is by donation.

He started the project to raise money for the Humane Society, then to raise money for Riley Raynard, as well as for his hockey registration. He added that his favourite part has been meeting new people in the community.

Currently, Wilson is raising money for his hockey registration this year.

Bentley’s Iced Tea stand is set up at the corner of Westview School most days. He added that he is currently on his seventh day in a row. “It’s been pretty busy and I’m really loving it.” In addition, he has also set up shop at the farmers market and car shows.

Bentley's mom, Jessie Wilson, said she is proud of her son's drive to work.

"He checks the weather and if it's not raining he is out selling," said Jessie Wilson. "He has goals and he reaches them or gets close to them. Thank you to everyone who stops and waves. It sure makes his hot days worth it."

He had some words of wisdom for other kids who might be interested in starting their own business venture.

“Try to accomplish your dreams and do what you’re best at and have fun."
