Dennis James Molle
December 14, 1971 – July 11, 2024

52 years old

It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis James Molle announce his sudden passing on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Edmonton, Albert. He was 52 years of age. Dennis was born to Ken and Evelyn Molle on December 14, 1971, in Watson, Saskatchewan, where he was raised.
Dennis began riding horses when he was just a toddler and was two years old when he got his very first horse named Goldilocks. Dennis spent countless hours with Goldilocks which developed into a lifetime passion for horses. Over the years, Dennis rode and trained several horses, but he had his favourite horse named Big Chico. Dennis and Big Chico travelled all over Saskatchewan, riding gymkhana and doing all sorts of events winning many ribbons, trophies, and cheques.  Dennis won the trophy saddle at provincials in Moose Jaw in 1979 when he was only eight years old, a saddle he would later use as an outrider for many years for the Eastern Professional Chariot & Chuckwagon Association.
During his high school years, Dennis and his brother Dwayne worked for their older brother Glen at Universal Steel, constructing steel buildings all over the province until he graduated from Watson School in 1989. After high school, Dennis moved to Saskatoon and attended SIAST Kelsey campus where he obtained his Parts Management Technician Certificate. Following graduation from SIAST, Dennis moved to Lloydminster with his sister and her husband, Donna and Richard Fritsch, where he explored life while doing various jobs. Dennis moved home and worked at the Watson branch of Humboldt Flour Mills for many years until he found his niche in employment in the oil and gas industry in the field of safety, taking him and his family back to the Lloydminster area.
In 1990, Dennis fell head over heels in love with his best friend, Tami, and they started their life together in Watson where they purchased a small home. They were inseparable and did everything together such as riding horses, hunting, fishing, camping and going on adventures. Tami loved watching him ride and compete at all his gymkhana and outriding events. She was mesmerized by his skill and how well he could handle the horses and attended every rodeo event to watch him.
In 1994, Dennis proposed to Tami on Christmas morning in front of their families. They said their vows on July 27, 1996, in LeRoy, SK at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Dennis and Tami were excited to have a family and brought up two wonderful children. On January 19, 1998, they started their family when Morgan Ann was born, and Ty James completed their family when he was born on December 5, 2002. The Molle family lived on an acreage between Watson and LeRoy until 2013 when the family moved to Blackfoot, AB.
Morgan was a daddy’s girl from day one. Dennis loved taking Morgan to the barn to ride horses, taking her for truck rides and to all of Morgan’s sporting events. The two of them were peas in a pod and had an unbreakable daddy/daughter bond. Morgan was his best buddy, and he was her hero. Dennis taught Morgan the essentials - to ride horses, and to change tires and oil in her car. He taught her how to love and care for animals, and to this day, Morgan has the same love for animals as he did. Dennis was so proud of Morgan when she obtained her Personal Training Certificate. He told everyone how proud he was and bragged that his daughter could lift more weight than most men.  Most recently, Morgan followed in her dad’s footsteps in the construction safety industry by achieving her National Health and Safety Officer certification. Dennis was excited and honoured to let everyone know his baby girl was a safety officer just like him.
Dennis loved to teach Ty to do “boy stuff.” They spent countless hours working on vehicles together and doing mechanics on their trucks and other projects. They even built a mud bog truck from the ground up. Dennis and Ty continually discussed and analyzed everything about vehicles, and which had the best motor or transmission and why. Dennis taught Ty how to hunt and fish and have both developed a passion for hunting and guns, and again, spending their time together talking about which gun was the best for each specific use, and sharing in their passion. When Ty received his Journeyman Certificate in Welding, Dennis was such a proud dad. He was excited to share in Ty’s career development and was honoured to be able to shop with Ty for new wheels to build as his company welding truck. Dennis and Ty were best buddies and Dennis was Ty’s hero.
Dennis was also looked up to by the kid’s friends. They always knew they could call him if they needed a hand with something or advice on horses, vehicles or guns. Dennis loved when they would come over. They would get a lesson in his knowledge while he cooked for them, and they would leave with a full belly.  He thought of those kids as his own.
Dennis will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 27 years Tamara (nee Timmerman) Molle of Blackfoot, AB, their 2 children Morgan Molle (Taylor Howell) of Edmonton, AB and Ty Molle of Blackfoot, AB; mother Evelyn Molle of Vegreville, AB; brother Glen (Mary Louise) Molle of Watson, SK and family Kristopher (Wendy) and Kaeden, Blake, Crystal (Bobbi); sister Donna (Richard) Fritsch of Lloydminster, AB and family Shane (Marissa), Kandice (Jay) and Kara, Troy; brother Dwayne (Lynne) Molle of Lloydminster, SK and family Deanna (Daryl) and Hanna, Kali, Dawn (Dave) and Adriana, Levi, Genesis, Ariat, Lindsay; parents-in-law Elaine (John) Cales of LeRoy, SK; brother-in-law Cori (Lisa) Timmerman of Calgary, AB; sister-in-law Kelli Timmerman of Saskatoon, SK and family Carter and many other family members and friends.  He was predeceased by his father Kenneth Molle (2007) and his father-in-law Leo Timmerman (2004).
