The Town Of Okotoks has reopened applications for their Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP).

The program, which is administered through Alberta Municipalities offers financing to Okotokians to help manage the upfront costs of energy-efficient upgrades in their home.

Residents can apply for financing for up to 100 per cent of the project cost through a small-interest loan.

Eligible projects include things like high-efficiency gas furnaces, attic insulation, and indoor lighting controls.

The program first opened in January, and the Town stopped accepting applications within a week due to the program's popularity.

In June, council voted in favour of reopening the program, leading to this second intake of applications.

More information on CEIP, including the link to apply, can be seen on the Town's website.
