The regular season is done and now it’s playoff time for the Okotoks Marauders.

The Jr. B Lacrosse team finished second in the South Division standings and will meet the Jr. Mounties in the first round.

These two teams are no strangers to each other as this will be the fourth straight season the clubs will meet in the first round. The Marauders have won the series in three of those years.

Both teams have their fair share of firepower, with Rory Dame and Dane Hansen of the Mounties finishing second and third in the division scoring race with 90 and 80 points respectively.

The Marauders Jacob Harlow and Drew Dunbar are fourth and fifth in scoring with 76 and 73 points.

Both goaltenders have also been lights this season with Connor Thain of the Mounties second in save percentage followed by Carson Sproul and Asthon De Groot third and fourth in that category.

The first game of the best-of-three series goes Thursday night in Okotoks with the opening faceoff at 8 p.m. Game Two is Saturday night at the Stu Peppard Arena in Calgary and if necessary, Game Three will be played Sunday night back in Okotoks.
