Severe thunderstorm warning for Rocky area, ping-pong ball sized hail possible

At 4:40 PM MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, nickel to ping pong ball size hail and heavy rain.

This thunderstorm is located near Stolberg, 15 km east of Nordegg, and is nearly stationary.

Large accumulations of hail are possible. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
