The Okotoks Marauders are looking to get back on their feet after a tough, nail-biting defeat in Game One of their first-round playoff series.

The Marauders and Jr. B Mounties went back and forth at the Murray Arena, but it was the visiting team that came through in the end, winning 10-9.

Despite the loss, Marauders forward Drew Dunbar was on fire scoring four goals and three assists. On the other end, Cohen Fluet had three goals, including the game-winner for the Mounties.

The Marauders ended the first period on top 3-2 before the Mounties stormed back in the second period with six goals to take an 8-6 lead.

After Fluet scored the go-ahead goal for the Mounties at the 11:09 mark, Frank Gallup brought the Marauders to within a goal just two minutes later, but the team couldn't get the equalizer before the final buzzer.

The Mounties had 55 shots in the game with the Marauders putting up 52 shots.

The Marauders look to avoid the sweep and send the series back to Okotoks as the two teams meet in Game Two on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Stu Peppard Arena in Calgary.

If necessary, Game Three will take place at the Murray Arena on Sunday at 7 p.m.
