Those who live in Stavely are asked to forego having campfires for the time being.

Due to the hot and dry conditions we have been experiencing, on top of the forecasted high temperatures coming up, the Town of Stavely is now under a Fire Ban.

The Fire Ban took effect on Friday, July 19th, with this Fire Ban, all burning of any kind is prohibited.

While the Fire Ban includes recreational campfires and backyard firepits, those who wish to use propane or natural gas appliances (including barbecues, stoves, heaters, and portable firepits) are allowed to do so as long they are either CSA approved or UL certified.

The M.D. of Willow Creek is also under a Fire Ban, as of July 19th.
