Another major food delivery service has opened its doors to food lovers in High River.
Starting Monday, 13 new cities in Canada have been added to SkipTheDishes, including High River and Strathmore.
"Supporting our ambition to deliver more of what Canadians want, we are thrilled to be bringing Skip's unparalleled convenience to even more doorsteps across the country", said Loraine Nyokong, Head of Local Partnerships at SkipTheDishes.
Currently, 12 restaurants in High River are listed on the app including High River Donair and Pizza, Buster’s Pizza & Donair, The Indian Bites, and Bon Chicken.
Franchise favourites like McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Subway are also on the app.
Some restaurants in High River will likely not use the service as they have already set up their own delivery to avoid service charges imposed by apps like SkipTheDishes.
Food delivery apps are not new to the community as DoorDash and UberEats have already set up shop in the town.
DoorDash has 30 businesses currently listed including several restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacies, and liquor stores. The NoFrills grocery store is also listed on the app.
UberEats services 17 businesses in High River, including many that are now a part of SkipTheDishes.
