As the heat wave continues, record-high temperatures were recorded in areas of Central Alberta on Sunday (July 21).  

Nordegg, Rocky Mountain House, and Sundre areas have set new heat records.   

The Nordegg area set a new record of 32 C, up from the previous 30.9 C set in 2006.   

The new record for the Rocky Mountain House area is set at 32.8 C, an increase from the 31.7 C set in 1946.  

The Sundre area's new record is set at 32.1 C, from the previous 31.2 C set in 2008.  

A heat warning is still in effect for Central Alberta.
