The Town of Okotoks is looking for input from the public for the redesign of the Okotoks Recreation Centre's Youth Centre.

Last November, Okotoks Town Council committed $1250,000 to reimagine the Youth Centre.

Part of that reimaging is moving the Youth Centre from the lower level of the recreation centre to the main level to improve accessibility and safety, following input the Town received from the community.

Now, people can provide even more feedback on the Youth Centre.

The Town is asking for input on the colour scheme, seating options, gaming chair options, gaming equipment options, gaming system options, and board game options.

The Youth Centre is intended for youth between the ages of 12 and 17 (or 18 if the teen hasn't graduated from Grade 12 quite yet, and it currently is equipped with a TV lounge with a flat-screen TV, a PlayStation 4 console, a pool table, air hockey table, an area to do homework with workstations and computers, and a multi-purpose area for games and activities.

Construction of the redesigned Youth Centre will be completed by this fall.
