Kananaskis Country isn't the only region to have had some recent bear sightings.

A recent post from the Heritage Pointe Golf Club notified residents of the community that multiple sightings of a bear cub at the golf course had been reported.

The post included a photo of what appears to be a bear cub on the green.

A video recorded in the community on July 21 showing a cub running into a wooded area also circulated on Facebook.

Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Services have confirmed they received reports of bear sightings in the community on July 19, and it's believed that two bears were passing through the area.

It's believed the bears were simply passing through the area, and since there were no reports of property damage or interactions with residents, no further action was taken.

Alberta Fish and Wildlife is reminding locals that natural areas in these communities often form wildlife corridors.

The Government of Alberta website includes tips on what to do if you do encounter a bear.
