The Midale Rodeo is back in town for the August long weekend. The event will be running alongside the annual Threshing Bee. The bull riding event will have a twenty-dollar admission, five dollars for students, but all other events will be admission free.
Vice president of the Midale Rodeo Association Cody Martin says the event will be full of family fun.
“Come out and enjoy the event. We put on an extremely good event all weekend with the whole community. We got some of the best bull riders from across Canada coming out Friday night, as well as the best bulls that you can find.”
The rodeo will kick off on August 2nd with bull riding at 7p.m. followed by a free cabaret featuring live music by Crossroads. Saturday starts at 10 a.m. with a new event, Ranch Rodeo and the Truco Trick Riders at 5 p.m. Barrel racing begins Sunday morning at 8 a.m. and the team roping jackpot starting at noon. Beer gardens will be open throughout the weekend.

Martin says there will be plenty of food and refreshments to be found, especially in collaboration with the Threshing Bee.

“There will be food vendors and refreshments all weekend long between the rodeo grounds and the threshermen’s. Threshermen’s will have their food booth going along. I believe they sell pies and stuff and lots of options along with beer gardens being open pretty much all weekend.”
All rodeo events will be at the Midale rodeo grounds next to the Heritage Village.
