City crews are at work around Estevan on a number of projects.

City crews are hard at work around the city, refreshing Estevan in a number of ways during the construction season.

That ranges from painting the lines on the road, filling in cracks that have formed over the year, and even more responsibilities.

Estevan's City Safety Coordinator Helen Fornwald explains some of the crews on the streets.

"Just a reminder we're experiencing a busy construction season with city crews working on the streets. Setting up and taking down traffic combination signage for everyone's protection, painting crews, crack filling crews, pothole patching crews, watering flower crews, irrigation, maintenance, tree trimming crews and weed whipping crews."

Fornwald reminds people to be careful around those workers to help keep everyone safe.

"We asked the public for your attention to construction signage. Use caution, slow down, and be aware of your surroundings so everyone can go home safely to their families. We thank you for your patience."

The city also advised the public that city crews will be working on crack filling on Thorn Crescent and McCormick Crescent, with no parking on these crescents as the streets are narrowed to navigate, while still remaining open.
