Shortly after releasing one trailer for a movie filmed in Alberta, TUBI released another last week for an Alberta-shot movie.

The official trailer for Wynonna Earp: Vengeance showcased that the movie will be released sometime on the TUBI streaming service in the fall.

According to IMDB  "Wynonna Earp is coming home to battle her greatest foe yet: a psychotic seductress hellbent on revenge against her...and everyone she loves."

Multiple scenes of the movie were shot north of Airdrie in Didsbury. Multiple road closures took place for filming.

Some of the stars in the show include Tim Rozon, Melanie Scrofano and Katherine Barrell. Emily Andras is the creator.

The original Syfy series ran for four seasons until 2021. Within the series, Wynonna Earp takes on the role of the great-great-granddaughter of the renowned lawman Wyatt Earp. Her journey involves confronting reincarnated outlaws previously dealt with by Wyatt.

When the original Earp series was shot, multiple scenes were also filmed in the Didsbury area back in 2016.

The Thicket which is produced by TUBI Movies and Nomadic Pictures is set to hit movie theatres on September 6. It was shot at the 2023 Global Production Award-winning CL Western Town and Alberta Farms standing sets, as well as among the rocky mountains of Kananaskis.

Airdrie's surrounding area is home to multiple other scenes from popular movies and series like The Last of UsUnder the Banner of Heaven and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
