On one of the hottest weeks this summer, Estevan Fire Rescue was out on the streets helping out with multiple car crashes in the area.
The week started on July 22, when just after 12:00 p.m., a crew was dispatched to a vehicle fire in the northeast area of the city. Crews responded and assisted at the incident, extinguishing the fire. Minor damage to one vehicle and no injuries were reported.
A couple of days later on July 24 at around 8:15 a.m., a crew responded to a 2-vehicle collision in the south-central area of the city. Crews responded and assisted at the incident. Minor damage to vehicles and minor injuries were reported.
Getting off the roads, on July 25 around 6:30 a.m. a crew was dispatched to a commercial fire alarm in the southeast area of the city. Crews responded and investigated, determining there was no emergency occurring before resetting the alarm system.
The alarms kept coming on July 25 which saw a crew dispatched around 12:30 p.m. to a residential carbon monoxide alarm in the northeast area of the city. Crews responded and investigated, determining there was no emergency occurring with the alarm due to a system issue.
Crews found themselves back on the streets on July 27 with a single-vehicle rollover west of the city at around 1:15 p.m. Crews responded to the incident. One occupant was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the local hospital with minor injuries.
Ending off the week on July 28, a crew was dispatched just before 5:00 p.m., to a motorcycle collision east of the city. Crews responded and assisted at the incident with no reported injuries.
