Vulcan's Keyara Wardley and the Women's Team Canada Rugby Sevens move on to the semi-finals against Australia after beating France 19-14 in Monday's quarter-final game at the Olympics in Paris.

Piper Logan opened the scoring with a try 3:15 into the first half, and Chloe Daniels added a conversion to make it 7-0 shortly after. France tied the game up at the 7:57 mark in the first half.

During the second half, France took a 14-7 lead after scoring a try and getting the conversion. Just over two minutes later Logan got her second try of the game and got the conversion from Olivia Apps to make the game deadlocked at 14 apiece.

Daniels got the winning try at the 6:07 mark but missed on the conversion but, the try was enough to put Canada into the semi-finals. Australia made easy work of Ireland winning 40-7 to advance to the semi-final.

Canada and Australia will face off tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. with the winner of the game play moving on to the Gold Medal Match tomorrow at 11:45 a.m.

Finlay Knox from Okotoks finished in sixth place during the Olympics in Paris in the Mens 4x100m Freestyle relay on Saturday (July 27th) with a time of 3:12.18 with help from Josh Liendo, Yuri Kisil, and Javier Acevedo.

Knox will be back in the pool on Thursday for the Men's 200m Individual Medley as he aims to get himself on the podium for Canada.
