Albertans could get another look at the Aurora Borealis early this week.

Several nights this week could see northern light shows thanks to geomagnetic storms.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has announced geomagnetic storm watches for July 30 through August 1 after a series of coronal mass ejections.

Though the lights could be visible on several nights, the strongest storm is forecasted for the night of Tuesday, July 30, when a G3 storm is predicted.

The NOAA predicts the northern lights will be visible in most of Canada, and even in part of the U.S.

Additionally, two meteor showers are expected to peak early this week.

Those are the Southern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids, which are active until mid-August, but are expected to peak between July 29 and 31, according to the American Meteor Society.

Anyone hoping to get a good look at the lights is encouraged to leave major urban areas in order to minimize light pollution.
