After a day of memories, heart-breaking stories and hearing from those affected by the wildfire in Jasper, Albertans came together on Wednesday and donated to help fellow Albertans.
After 12 hours of fundraising on radio stations across Alberta (including Sunny 94 in Lacombe), it was revealed that $518,482 was raised. With the matching grants from both the Federal and Provincial Governments that total sits at $1.555,446. Thank you everyone for your generous donations.
This total does not yet include all the money raised by bottle and can donations. Alberta Bottle Depots will continue taking donations through the rest of the week, and the weekend ahead. If you didn’t get a chance to donate your cans and bottles today, you can do so the rest of this week/weekend Once those totals come in there will be an update to this page.
