The Manor Fun Daze Committee is hosting their Manor Motor Madness truck and tractor pulls on August 9th & 10th. A fun filled weekend with lots of horsepower as the Prairie Pulling League heads to Manor, SK. President of the Manor Fun Daze Committee Rylan Weir explains just how much power they’re dealing with.

“Well, if you went to the tractor pull in Odessa; Manor is going to be the splitting image of that. We are bringing in the Prairie Pulling League with all the modified trucks and tractors. We've got trucks with upwards of 1800 horsepower and tractors upwards of 5000 horsepower.”

As fun as seeing thousands of horsepower pulling thousands of pounds, they have a lot more than just pulls. Events for kids and the kid at heart are happening all day Friday and Saturday.

“We're going to have vintage truck and tractor pulls, ATV pulls. As well, a monster truck is coming that's going to give people rides. We got kids entertainment, bouncers, some face painters and a classic car and tractor show. There is also a pancake breakfast Saturday morning, followed by a parade.”

The event takes place just south of Manor with signage available to find the fairgrounds, but with all the action happening it’ll be hard to miss. Everyone’s encouraged to show up and support the pulls and it’s advised to bring ear protection as the trucks and tractors are quite loud.

Weir appreciates all the effort that goes into setting up this event with a shoutout to all the volunteers needed to make Manor Motor Madness a success and all proceeds from the event stay within the local community.

“Well, the village of Manor is a small town, but we're a thriving community. All the proceeds from this are going towards Manor school, the SCC at the school, the library, the Manor REC board, the Manor Fire Department, the Carlyle Fire Department, the Manor seniors and the Redvers Fire department.”
