Kartusch fired a two-over par 74 Thursday and has a 54-hole total of 11-over par 227. Momo Sugiyama of Gold Coast, Australia is minus-10 and has a three-shot lead over Ashley Kozlowski of Littleton, Colorado and Caitlin Peirce of Adelaide, Australia.
Summer McIntosh won her third medal of the Paris Olympics on Thursday. The 17-year-old captured gold in the women's 200-metre butterfly. McIntosh also won gold in the 400 individual medley and silver in the 400 freestyle earlier this week. Canadian athletes have won eight medals including three gold, two silver and three bronze. Felix Auger-Aliassime defeated Norway's Casper Ruud and will meet Spain's Carlos Alcaraz in the men's tennis singles semifinals. Canada’s women’s basketball team is on the brink of elimination after falling 70-65 to Australia. Canada is 0-2 and will play their final group stage game against Nigeria on Sunday.
