Members of the Alberta RCMP are on the lookout for an elusive nude man who’s been spotted in Kananaskis.

They and the Kananaskis Emergency Services have received multiple complaints from people who have spotted the man near the Mount Kidd RV Park in the last few weeks.

He’s described as bearded, thin, and pale.

Public Information Officer with the Alberta RCMP, Corporal Troy Savinkoff, says he seems to be constantly on the move.

“We do believe that he is camping in the area at makeshift campsites he’s been setting up. We’ve actually located a few of them, but we’ve yet to be successful in locating him.”

According to Savinkoff, one consistent element among the multiple sightings is that the man flees as soon as he’s been spotted.

“We have no confirmed witnesses that indicate that he has done anything other than be naked and, upon being spotted, run into the trees. I mean, that very behaviour is very odd, of course, but there’s been nothing beyond that that’s been confirmed.”

A recent post on the r/Alberta subreddit recounts in vivid detail the experience of a group of campers who spotted the man multiple times.

The post has received over 100 comments, with several claiming to have also seen the man in the last few weeks.

Savinkoff says the man’s motives, if any, are unclear, but anyone who spots him is asked to contact the RCMP.

“We’re not quite sure if what we’re dealing with is someone who just doesn’t want to wear clothing, or if it’s something different. That’s why we want to locate this individual. Certainly, we’d like people to keep their eyes out and call the police if they run into this individual.”
