As with any long weekend in summer, the Weyburn area has plenty to offer for those who want to get out on an adventure, take in a show, or maybe do some shopping from local vendors.

Mainprize Regional Park is hosting a 'Drive-in' movie event tonight, which is free to attend - you just need a Regional Park pass or day pass to get into the park. 

Then, on Sunday, the park begins a four-week 'Yoga on the Beach' course offering, which includes an option for drop-in participation.

Also tonight, the Crocus 80 Summer Youth Theatre Program participants will be putting on two back-to-back one-act plays: 'The Fairytale Network', a whimsical reimagining of classic fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks, and 'Gone Bad', which explores what happens when princesses decide to become villains. 

The troupe will perform for a matinee audience tomorrow.

Nickle Lake Day is sure to have something for everyone, from a free pancake breakfast in the morning to games and activities all throughout the day, a market and a car show, concluding with live music into the evening. Just a 10-minute drive from Weyburn, families can pop out for events in which they'd like to take part, stay the whole day, or camp overnight.

The Town of Midale has a busy weekend planned, with a Threshing Bee, Bull Bash, and Rodeo coming up!

On Sunday, the Weyburn Therapeutic Animal Park will hold their first-ever Market at the Park event, featuring vendors, food, and games - fun for the whole family.

For those who want to stay home and plan for cooler-weather activities, like hunting this fall, the province has opened up purchasing hunting licenses.

The Weyburn Beavers will be playing their last game of the season on Monday, when they welcome the Regina Red Sox at Tom Laing Park at 7 p.m.
