The Okotoks Dawgs wrangled the Bulls with a 5-1 victory at Seaman Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

For Breast Cancer Awareness Night, they held live auctions for the pink jerseys worn by thr players. It was especially significant for closer Ashton Luera,  who wears a breast cancer bandana in every game this season as a tribute to his aunt.

Okotoks' own Brody Forno made the start on the mound, going three full innings and earning five strikeouts in the process. Garrett Maloney came in relief and struck out three batters in one inning. Cade Herrmann, Aaron Hammer, Zane Morrison, Gavin Wuschke, and Luera all made appearances on the mound.

Lethbridge opened the scoring at the top of the second and got their only run of the game. Okotoks answered with a run of their own at the top of the fifth.

Ricky Sanchez got the first run for the Dawgs after Jarrett Burney hit a double. Burney is currently on a 13-game hit streak and is coming in hot as playoffs are about to begin on Wednesday (August 7).
