The Okotoks Dawgs handled the Bull tonight 4-1 in Lethbridge and head into playoffs with a seven-game win streak.

In addition, the Dawgs have beaten the Bulls in the last four meetings as they head into Wednesday for game one of their first-round best-of-three series at Seaman Stadium.

Cam Stephens started on the mound and put up an eye-popping 13 strikeouts in just five innings. Chase Tucker and Easton Corey came in relief and got two strikeouts each.

The Dawgs opened the scoring at the top of the third inning. Leo Griffin would get the run with Logan Grant up to bat. The Bulls answered with a run of their own at the bottom of the third to tie it up at one apiece.

Okotoks took the lead back at the top of the fifth, cashing in two runs. Grant and Kauffman would get the runs in thanks to a single from Dawson Santana.

Pitcher Greg Ross came on as a substitution for Jarrett Burney. He got across home plate while Grant was up to bat at the top of the eighth and made it a 4-1 ball game.

Okotoks and Lethbridge will have the day off tomorrow but will play game one of their best-of-three series on Wednesday at Seaman Stadium with a first pitch of 7:05 pm.
