Ralph Bernard Wills
September 1, 1947 – August 1, 2024

The family is very saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Ralph Bernard Wills, 76 years of Bruno, at Royal University Hospital on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Ralph was born on September 1, 1947, to Harry and Iola (nee Woolsey) Wills at Holdfast, SK.  He obtained his education at Penzance and Imperial Schools.  Following Ralph attended SIAST and obtained his Journeyman Automotive Degree and Millwright with a Red Seal in Millwright.  Ralph met the love of his life Corinne Weiman and they were wed on June 26, 1971 at St. Bruno R.C. Church.  They were blessed with two children Dawn and Robert.  Ralph was a very hard worker and a ‘top notch mechanic’.  Many people will attest to this.  Above and beyond, FAMILY was number one in his life.  He spent many years coaching children in minor hockey and made sure that the children called him Ralph!  He made it very clear that Mr. Wills was his dad.  Ralph took pride in his rose garden and grew beautiful roses yearly.   A very well schooled man, who basically knew a little bit about everything.  He loved to sit outside on his deck and read to keep his intelligence at a very high level.  While relaxing on his deck he enjoyed watching the gifts of nature that would present themselves to him like birds and the odd fox that came through for a visit.  Ralph really had a passion for cats.    Their presence brought him much comfort and adored how faithful of a companion they could be.  But there was one certain dog named Abby that stole his heart.  Abby became his sidekick and the two of them enjoyed time together by relaxing or going for many drives when helping Jerome farm, as well as around town.  We wish we had a video of all the antics of these 2 farmers we would call Abbot and Costello.  Ralph loved his coffee times with Val and Mark and their 2 special cats, Magoo and Piper.  Most important to Ralph was when Rob would ask him for help or advise.

Ralph will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Corinne Wills of Bruno; one son, three grandchildren and one great grandchild: their son Robert of Bruno; Dawn’s family Laverne Thoms of Bruno and children Tori (Ryan) Schneider and great-granddaughter Madeliene of Humboldt, Reagan (Colby) McGregor of Watrous, and Danen (Janelle) Thoms of Bruno; step-grandson Kalem (Rochelle) and great-grandson Theodore, and step-granddaughter Brianna (Brittney) and their daughter; sister Rhonda Richards of Saskatoon; sisters and brothers-in–law: Diane Thieman of Saskatoon, Hugo Lamping of Bruno, Lucille (Jerome) Strasser of Bruno, Janine (Harold) Kocay of Saskatoon, Rosalinda (Matt) Harildstad of Saskatoon, Lyla (Lambert) Hering of Bruno, Leslie (Brenda) Weiman of Bruno and Valerie (Mark Wallace) Huslage of Bruno; and numerous nieces and nephews.   Ralph was predeceased by his daughter Dawn Thoms; parents Harry and Iola Wills; brother Barry Wills; parents-in-law John and Alvina Weiman; sister–in–law Marlene Lamping; brothers-in-law Joe Thieman and Francis Huslage.

Remember Ralph for all the good things he did during his life.

As per Ralphs wishes, a funeral service will not be held. The family will have a Private Graveside at Bruno R.C. Cemetery at a later date.  Memorial donations in Ralph’s memory may be directed to the Bruno Friendship Centre (Box 485, Bruno, SK, S0K 0S0).
