The Town of Okotoks was hit by a severe thunderstorm Monday evening, which included large amounts of hail.
Just before 7:30 p.m. on Monday, August 5th, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Foothills County
Because of the warning, they advised that there was potential for flash flooding and pooling water on roadways.
During the thunderstorm, Okotoks and the surrounding area got hit with hail that caused leaves to be broken off trees and litter the ground.
There have been no reports of a tornado.
