Estevan Police responded to numerous calls across the city over the long weekend.

The Estevan Police Service was busy over the long weekend, with 82 occurrences being reported over a few days.

That included multiple fraud complaints, suspicious persons, theft of fuel criminal harassment, hit-and-run incidents, and several driving complaints.

One of the notable incidents saw a 19-year-old charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving over .08 following a traffic stop on the 500 block of 2nd Street. The individual was lodged in cells until sober, with her driver's license suspended indefinitely and her vehicle impounded for 30 days.

In another incident, a 37-year-old female from Birch Hills was charged with assault of a police officer after EPS members responded to a complaint at a hospital. The individual was lodged in cells and will attend court in October.

Officers also looked into a break-and-enter that happened to a local business Sunday morning in the industrial area of the city. The EPS continues to investigate.

A woman in a golf cart was stopped for impaired operation of a conveyance and driving over .08 near Woodlawn Park on Sunday evening. The 26-year-old from Lampman had her driver's license suspended and her golf cart impounded for 30 days.
