The Okotoks Dawgs host game one of the best-of-three first-round playoff series tonight at Seaman Stadium against the Lethbridge Bulls.

During the 2024 WCBL regular season, the Dawgs took the season series by a close margin of 6-4. The Dawgs were down in the series 4-2 but won four straight against the Bulls including the final two games of the regular season to take the season series.

Okotoks is on fire heading into tonight's matchup as they have won seven games in a row to close out the regular season.

Tucker Zdunich will be playing in his first full playoffs as he had to leave early for school in the previous years and will be joined by his Reinhardt teammate Jarrett Burney for the playoff swing.

Veteran Pitcher Graham Brunner who has been a mainstay with the Dawgs since 2017 will be playing in his final playoff run with Okotoks.

The first round starts tonight with the Dawgs and Bulls as they play at 7:05 pm at Seaman Stadium. They will head to Lethbridge tomorrow for game two and back to Okotoks on Friday for a possible game three.

The Sylvan Lake Gulls play the Brooks Bombers for the other matchup in the west, with Regina vs Moose Jaw and Saskatoon vs Medicine Hat for the east division playoffs.
