A 1978 Honda Express motorcycle was stolen from a property last week. It is described as lime green, and looks similar to a moped.

A distinguishing feature is that it's missing its gas tank.

Constable Dallas Austin with the Weyburn Police Service said this is because the owner was in the process of restoring the motorcycle.

While the WPS is investigating the matter, they are asking for the public's assistance in locating it.

"I guess they might be trying to sell it on Facebook Marketplace, try and get a few bucks here and there, or try and fix it up and sell it for a little bit more money," he noted.

"If anybody does see that or know the whereabouts of the motorcycle, please contact the Weyburn Police Service," Austin invited. "They can call Crime Stoppers or any of the RCMP detachments also if it's found out of town."

Reach the Weyburn Police Service at 306-848-3250 or the Weyburn RCMP at 306-848-4640.

Contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477); or text "TIP206" and your message to CRIMES (274637). You can also submit a tip via the Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers website.
