Aquatic Centre breaking ground this week

The new aquatic centre being built in High River got underway this week.

Fencing has now been erected around the back west parking area of the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.

Some equipment has also been brought in as they prepare to expand the current swimming pool area.

If you're wondering about any closures for the pool or the facilities, everything will be open, but you can expect some interruptions along the way.

High River's Town Council voted to move forward with the Aquatics Facility Expansion on July 8 this year after two years of planning.

The new Aquatics Centre isn't expected to be completed until early 2026.
