Morden police officers, and paramedics were called to two overdoses in three days at the end of July/beginning of August.
    
In the first case, on July 31st, a woman was brought to healthcare facility for further treatment.
    
Secondly, on August 2nd, a woman was assessed by medics and released. A man, however, was brought to a healthcare facility for further treatment.


Meantime, a 28-year-old man from Winnipeg was arrested and charged after he was pulled over by Morden police this past Sunday.
    
According to police, shortly after midnight, officers noticed a vehicle going twice the legal speed limit - 100 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. When they tried to stop it, the driver sped away and drove several blocks before finally pulling over. He was arrested for flight from police.
    
Additionally, officers found a can of bear spray in the vehicle. 

The driver was also charged with Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and three counts of Fail to Comply with a Release Order. He was remanded into custody.
