Fresh off the success of the long weekend, Midale's mayor reflects on the changes the town has experienced with new businesses, a new library location, and a much-anticipated daycare.
Mayor Allan Hauglum credits this surge of activity to the town’s younger generation. “It’s always nice to have growth in your community; that’s how your community survives,” he said.
The changes are not just attracting newcomers but are also poised to keep families anchored in Midale. “Just to see the new development and having the young people that brought the daycare into the community, they put a lot of hard work into it,” Hauglum added.
He highlighted the strong community support for the daycare and shared his optimism for the success of these new initiatives. “You’ve got people that have been in their community for a lifetime, and we’ve got people that have moved in who are involved in a lot of things also,” he said.
“Midale is an active community, and like I say, I put a lot of that towards our young adults in our community. They keep the town moving."
