It was a tough day for Team Saskatchewan with Muenster's Marek Yeager at the first day of action at the 2024 Baseball Canada Cup in Fort McMurray. 

In their opening game, Saskatchewan was defeated by Quebec 7-2. Yeager was the starting pitcher for Saskatchewan, and he ended up taking the loss. 

He pitched 4.2 innings, giving up five hits and allowing three runs. He recorded eight strikeouts.  

Later in the day, Saskatchewan was defeated by Ontario 5-4 with Yeager not appearing in that game.  

 Today Saskatchewan has one game, against Nova Scotia at 2:30.
