The Battle of the North kicked off in Dawson Creek on Wednesday with some excellent track conditions and fast times.
Calgary's Chanse Vigen coming off a win in Strathmore took the top spot of the night in a blistering 1:14.46. Last year's defending champion Rae Croteau Jr. came in third with High River's Jason Glass coming in 9th on the night. De Winton's Dayton Sutherland came in 11th with Blackie's Jordie Fike in 28th.
It's the second last WPCA event before the World Championship Finals in Ponoka during the final weekend in August.
The winner of the aggregate after Saturday wins a one-year lease of a 2024 GMC Truck and the top four wagons in the aggregate race in a $30,000 Dash for Cash on Sunday.
