A new youth park is set to open in High River next week on Monday, August 12 at 11:30 a.m.
The family of Brian Perry made a very generous $200,000 memorial gift to the United Way/High River Partnership Committee.
The donation was made in 2021, and many changes had to happen in order for the park to happen including removing the mini-golf course.
The committee then worked together with the Town of High River to make it happen.
The Brian Perry Youth Park as it will now be known includes a new all-sport court and multi-use greenspace.
The park is right across the street from Highwood High School beside the BGC Centre and the skateboard park.
Town Council will be on hand Monday at 11:30 a.m. for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony and everyone is welcome to attend.
