The Southern Alberta Music Festival is ready to two-step into your campsite at Aspen Crossing in Mossleigh this Friday and Saturday.

It's the 12th annual event of country and western music and Jason Thornhill with Aspen Crossing says he can hardly wait to get started.

"So, Friday night you know we got High Steppin Daddy opening things up, and Devon Cooper, Mariya Stokes, and the one thing about this festival is you sure can't beat the after party."

Juno nominated Straight, Clean and Simple with Larry Vannatta will also be performing on Saturday night. Prairie States will headline on Saturday with Chris Brien, Donna & Leroy, Double Suede, Nite Life, and 'Cowboys Like Us' - a George Strait tribute by Justin Ament.

Thornhill says it's not only going to be a great weekend of music and camping but they're fundraising for STARS Air Ambulance again.

"Well, our first year it went to High River flood relief, and we're like 'Oh, what are we going to do for the next charity? Let's do STARS Air Ambulance.  It's just so important to the rural areas and they're so grateful for what we've raised for them. You know, our lowest was around $8,000 to our highest last year was $24,600 and something."

There are still a few campsites left and you can find more information on tickets here.
