The first-round best-of-three 2024 WCBL series between the Okotoks Dawgs and Lethbridge Bulls will go to game three with the Bulls taking a 5-4 win at Spitz Field on Thursday night. 

Game two saw 2024 WCBL All-Star Garrett Maloney take the mound off the top. Maloney pitched a full four innings and put out seven Bull batters with K's. Greg Ross, Cade Herrmann, Aaron Hammer, and Easton Corey came in as relievers. Herrmann pitched two-thirds of an inning and struck out both batters he faced.

Okotoks opened the scoring at the top of the first inning. "Mr. August" Brendan Luther got the first run in after a passed ball while Nash "Bash" Crowell was up to bat. The Bulls countered back with two runs at the bottom of the inning.

The Dawgs took the lead back at the top of the third when they got two runs across home plate. Luther got his second run of the game after Tucker Zdunich hit a single. Crowell who was next at bat followed it up with a single of his own, getting Ricky Sanchez in for a run. The Bulls tied the game up at 3-3 at the bottom of the third.

Okotoks and Lethbridge traded runs in the sixth inning. Logan Grant was the runner to get across home plate after Alejandro Cazorla got put out at first after making contact.

The Bulls got the winning run to force it to a game three at the bottom of the eighth.

Okotoks and Lethbridge will meet on Friday for the do-or-die game three at Seaman Stadium.
