Winkler's Harvest Festival launched its first night on Friday, August 9, 2024, with a full lineup of performances that had the crowd buzzing with excitement. The festivities began with That 80’s Band setting the main stage for an evening of unforgettable music.
"We enjoy being out and about, seeing everybody together as a community, and seeing everyone have a smile on their face is quite awesome," said attendee Ashton Dyck.
That 80’s Band set the nostalgic tone and took the audience on a journey through the greatest hits of the decade. Following them, Julie C Myers Rock Revival energized the festival with her strong vocals and high-energy rock classics, paying tribute to some of the most iconic female rockers.
The night peaked with a headlining performance by the legendary Sass Jordan. The Juno Award-winning artist captivated the crowd with her signature blend of bluesy rock and delivered an energetic performance.
"The Winkler Harvest Festival... is a spectacular event that not only brings the community together, but brings in others to see exactly how truly amazing Winkler is," said Don Cruickshank, representative who attended on behalf of Branden Leslie MP for Portage Lisgar.
Winkler’s Harvest Festival started off strong, promising an incredible weekend of music, community, and celebration.
