Woman dies after being struck by vehicle Saturday

A 49-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning. 

Juat before 2 a.m., officers responded to the Harry Lazerenko Bridge where they found a woman suffering from serious injuries.

When emergency crews arrived, the woman had succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

Winnipeg police say the woman was lying kn thr ground when she was struck by a vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with investigators.
