An after-school program is launching this fall by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Weyburn. Registration opened on August 8th for the program starting on the first day of school.
Director of development and communications for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Weyburn, Amy Mohr says thirty spots are available for the pilot year.
“Registration will be open until we are full. We will have a waitlist though, so if you're interested, I would certainly recommend just submitting that registration form or the inquiry form and being added to the waitlist just in case.”
Register through their website HERE.
The program is in partnership with the City of Weyburn and will be held at the Weyburn Credit Union Spark Centre. It’s open for kids in grades one to six and runs after school every day from 3:35 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $225 per child, per month.
"There will be a variety of age-appropriate activities and those are all designed to promote the children's social, physical, intellectual and emotional development and then because mentoring is what we do, everything is going to be delivered through a mentoring lens.”
They are still seeking casual group leaders, resumes can be submitted HERE.
