Tim Hortons locations across Alberta are helping raise funds for those affected by the wildfires in Jasper.

This week, they'll be selling Alberta Cares Donuts, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to to the Canadian Red Cross 2024 Alberta Wildfires Appeal.

Kevin Generoux, who owns both Tim Hortons locations with his wife Kim Generoux, says that giving back is just what they do.

"We got the Smile Cookie, we got the Camp Day, we got the Holiday Smile Cookie now that we do for Food Banks around Christmas time," explains Generoux. "So, we're always ready to jump in and assist and we've always done a doughnut when there's been a need, which is unfortunate. We don't want to do this, but definitely we want to give back. And customers want to give back."

This campaign began on Monday, August 12, and will be running until Sunday, August 18.

"It's across Alberta, selling the Alberta Cares Donut, which the owners are all paying for. So, 100 per cent of the proceeds of the $2 goes to the Alberta Wildfire Red Cross Relief Fund. It specifically goes to that area."

Generoux says that after the first day of this campaign, his stores have already brought in over $600 in doughnut sales towards this campaign.

"Which is actually quite amazing."

Donations can also be made on the Red Cross website.
