Nanton RCMP and emergency personnel were busy this morning on the scene of a serious collision just north of the town.
The collision happened on Highway 2 approximately at 5:00 a.m. about halfway between Cayley and Nanton.
EMS has confirmed that it was a single-vehicle collision with one person being declared deceased.
The RCMP closed the southbound lanes for several hours, but they've since been reopened.
