The Town of Okotoks will be providing a safe place to drop off expired and unused medication this weekend.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 17th, Town staff will be onsite at No Frills in Okotoks, where people will be able to anonymously discard any unwanted medications for free.
Conservation Educators from the Town will be onsite alongside pharmacists to make sure that all of the medications dropped off are disposed of safely and securely.
The educators and the pharmacists will also inform people on how to safely dispose of pharmaceuticals and how to keep waterways clean due to the impact of improperly disposed of pharmaceuticals.
