The Rolling Barrage passed through Okotoks on Wednesday.

The annual cross-Canada procession of motorcycles was started in 2017 as a fundraiser and awareness event in support of members of the Canadian Armed Forces, veterans, and first responders living with PTSD.

It first made its way to Okotoks in 2019 and has continued to do so every year since.

The riders arrived at about 6:45, proceeding up Northridge Drive and eventually hosting a reception at The George.

As in previous years, Veterans Way was lined with Canadian flags by volunteers from the Rotary Club, though this year they had some assistance from the Okotoks Scouts.

Foothills-area RCMP and firefighter personnel also assisted in setting up the route and seeing the group safely through.

The Rolling Barrage will proceed west and eventually end the journey in Vancouver on August 17.

More information on the event including links to donate, can be found on their website.
