The Wild Rose Carnival is back in High River, and they've also brought some motocross daredevils to town.

The carnival returns with the rides, the games, and the carnival food you'd expect this Friday through Sunday.

The Zipper is coming back along with the Hurricane, Super Slide, Berry Go Round, Go-Gator, Castle Mania, Sky Fighters, and Bumper cars.

They have the typical games from last year along with carnival food like cotton candy, candy apples, caramel apples, mini donuts, popcorn, and sno-cones.

The town mascot Riley the Horse is also expected to make some appearances just like he did last year.

Tickets are $1 each with an all-day wristband for $40.

The carnival hours run from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

And something extra special is also coming to High River this Friday and Saturday right across 12th Avenue from the Bob Snodgrass Rec Plex.

Hard Kastle FMX is bringing two professional motocross jumping specialists.

One of the two riders is High Riveritte Brady Kowalchuk and they will be performing extreme jumps and stunts at distances of 75 feet and 40 feet.

They'll be putting on 15 to 20-minute demos and then meet fans for autographs and photos at three set times on Friday and Saturday.

Show Times:

  • Friday and Saturday at 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.

Location: Across from the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.

  • Field parking is available for both the demos and carnival
