A new crosswalk near D'arcy Crossing will be painted this weekend.

Originally, Volker Stevin was going to paint the crosswalk between the D'Arcy Crossing and Wedderburn developments overnight on August 11, but according to the Town of Okotoks, a mechanical issue caused the work to be delayed a week.

Now, crews will be working during non-peak hours, with work beginning at 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, and ending at about 5 a.m. on Monday, August 19, as long as the weather cooperates.

Construction noise, minor traffic delays, and alternating single-lane closures are to be expected, but traffic in both directions will be maintained.

The Town is asking everyone who has to travel through the area at that time to use caution and to keep an eye out for equipment, crews, and signage.
