Fire bans and beach closure: Be prepared for the weekend

As you head out to enjoy the weekend, there's a few things to keep in mind. 

The hot and dry weather means an increased risk of fires. This has prompted fire bans in the area. Places under fire bans include Radville, Pangman, Willow Bunch, and the RMs of Weyburn No.67, Laurier No. 38 and Bengough No. 40.

Bear in mind these bans may impact parks within these areas.  

If you’re planning to head to Nickle Lake, the beach is closed due to high levels of toxic algae. There will be no swimming or water sports, and children and pets should be kept away from the water.
